The Pierce County Parent & Family Engagement webpage provides information and resources to assist families with helping their children increase their academic achievement. This webpage also provides families with Title I information and upcoming family engagement events. Blackshear Elementary School, Midway Elementary School, Patterson Elementary School, and Pierce County Middle School are school-wide Title I schools. Families are invited to provide suggestions and ideas to improve our Title I programs and plans. Mentor/Volunteer Program
The Pierce County Mentor/Volunteer Program needs you!! The Mentor /Volunteer Program provides an opportunity for adults to enrich the lives of our students. In order to be a mentor, a person must be at least 18 years old and out of high school. An individual must also fill out an application packet/screening and attend a training session. However, the most important qualification is a real desire to work with young people. If you would like to become a mentor or volunteer, you are invited to attend one of the training sessions below or please contact a school counselor.

“Table Talk”
Join us to gain knowledge to support your child’s educational success. Workshops are open to all Pierce County families! Invitations are sent to all parents and posted in our school communication platform. All workshops begin at 12:00 noon. Stay tuned for the invitations, some "Table Talks" may be virtual and some in-person.

Parent Cafés
Talk with staff about how we can improve our family engagement activities/events, what our schools can provide you with to help support your child’s learning at home and the best ways to communicate with you. Also, the Cafés will provide opportunities for you to assist in revising our Title I program plans, school-parent compacts, building school staff capacity trainings and the budget. Look for more information/updates regarding the Cafes on the school calendar, flyers sent home with your child, and your school's FaceBook page.

District PAC Meeting - Virtual
All parents are welcome to join the District Parent Advisory Council meeting. We will meet on February 28, 2023 at 11:30 AM or 5:30PM to hear the latest updates from the Pierce County School District as well as to review and provide input into the District Parent & Family Engagement Plan and the District Improvement Plan. Kindergarten Transition
We encourage all upcoming kindergarten parents/family members to come meet teachers, tour the school, and learn everything you need to know to make your child’s first day in kindergarten successful.

Parent Surveys
Your opinions and suggestions are important to the success of our schools!! Please take a moment to complete two important surveys this year.
- Title I Parent & Family Engagement survey – (Open mid-January to mid-February) Please complete the Parent & Family Engagement survey to help us plan and address areas of improvement for the next school year! (Please complete a survey for every school you have a child enrolled in.)
- The Georgia Parent Survey- (Open October-March) All parents are encouraged to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey. The data will be used to calculate the School Climate Star Rating. The school’s Climate score is a component of the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCPRI).
Infinite Campus Parent Portal
Check your child’s grades on the Parent Portal. Go to…
the district website (pierce.k12.ga.us) or your school’s website, then click the dropdown arrow beside Parent’s & Students, find Infinite Campus. You can sign up for your IC account here and login to your account.
