Student Feeding Plan Update

Pierce County Schools has regrouped over the past few days and implemented additional safety procedures concerning the meal preparation and delivery plan for our students. These procedures are intended to better protect staff who are preparing and delivering meals as well as students who receive them.

Meal delivery will resume on Thursday, March 26. Meals will also be delivered Friday, March 27. All meals will be delivered by school bus. There will be no meal pick up at school lunchrooms. Bus routes will be leaving lunchrooms between 10:30-11:00 am. Please watch for the buses and listen for the horn.

Bus 25 will be parked behind PCHS by the big white water tank for students who want to pick up meals at that location from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. No meals will be handed out from the PCHS lunchroom.

Please make sure that the students wait at least 12 feet away from the bus when receiving food. The person handing out the food will go to them. We are trying to limit contact between the public and the volunteers handing out food.

The school system will deliver meals to students on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays beginning Monday, March 30. These meals will be equivalent to five days of meals. In short, students will receive five breakfasts and five lunches. Remember, Spring Break is a previously scheduled break on our school calendar. There will be no meals delivered the week of April 6-10, 2020. We will develop a plan for the weeks following Spring Break in the near future.

If you have any questions, please email Jason Long, Transportation Director, at or call 449-2095 during the hours of 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
